Electronic Arts has released a new teaser image for the upcoming reboot of the first-person free-running game Mirror's Edge, cementing hopes of seeing the game in action during this year's edition of the E3 convention.

The image presented on the official Mirror's Edge Facebook page is a piece of concept art with a description that reads #E32014, making it official that the game will be featured in EA's press conference.

The suggestion that EA might be preparing to unveil the game during its E3 conference tonight was looming for a while, but until today nothing was certain.

The next-gen exclusive Mirror's Edge was announced during last year's E3, deemed to be more of a reboot of the entire thing, not just a direct sequel.

Developer DICE has mentioned that the game will be very different from the first Mirror's Edge, and while it won't become a shooter, its protagonist, Faith, will do a lot less running away and a lot more face punching.

The devs have also mentioned that the upcoming game will be set in an open world, the same dystopian one that the former used, where players will play the role of an elite courier delivering secret messages by making use of unconventional routes, riding the city's skyline in a series of acrobatic moves in order to elude the government agents that are hot on your track.
