The Mirror's Edge reboot from DICE and Electronic Arts has just received a brand new gameplay video with developer commentary at E3 2014, showing off fresh footage from the first-person parkour game.

Mirror's Edge came out many years ago as an ambitious project from DICE, completely the opposite of standard shooter titles made by the Swedish studio.

It became a cult classic, even if its sales didn't exactly impress publisher Electronic Arts.

After a few years, DICE came forward with a reboot of the series, with improved mechanics and core gameplay pillars. That title was revealed as the simply-titled Mirror's Edge at E3 2013 and now, one year later, another gameplay video has been unveiled.

In the footage below, you can see DICE talk a lot more about the new title, as well as go in-depth about the design process of the game's protagonist, Faith.

The studio has also emphasized that the game can be played by all types of people, as they don't all have to be hardcore parkour fans to notice paths through the environment and ways of taking advantage of elements scattered in the level.

Unfortunately, a release period still isn't available for the new Mirror's Edge.
