Developer Mojang has confirmed that its indie phenomenon, Minecraft, has sold over 10 million units on the PC platform and that a new update 1.6 is going to appear that finally brings horses to the impressive game.

Minecraft is nothing short of a global success, managing to sell tens of millions of units around the world and across many different platforms, including computers like PC, Mac, or Linux, not to mention mobile platforms through the Pocket Edition, or the Xbox 360, where it just received a new update.

Now, lead Minecraft developer Jens Bergensten, has confirmed on Twitter that Minecraft has sold over 10 million units on PC.

What's more, the designer also confirmed that the main new feature of the upcoming update 1.6 for Minecraft would be horses, as the animals are joining the already expansive set of creatures already featured in the game.

As of yet, there's no word when Minecraft will receive update 1.6.
