4J Studios, the developer of Minecraft console editions, confirms that two different DLC packs are now available for download, in the form of the Doctor Who Skins Volume II on Xbox devices and the Birthday Skin Pack on the PS3.

Minecraft impressed tens of millions of people from around the world first on the PC platform, and then developer Mojang partnered with 4J Studios to bring the experience onto consoles and other devices. Since then, Minecraft has been available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PS Vita, not to mention mobile phones and tablets.

After rolling out a fresh update yesterday, 4J confirms on its Twitter that, in honor of the one-year anniversary of Minecraft on PS3, there's a special free Birthday Skin Pack that should already be present on the PlayStation Store platform.

Meanwhile, Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners of Minecraft can take advantage of the Doctor Who Skins Volume II DLC, via Xbox Wire, which brings more than 50 new character skins in the game, in addition to those that are already present in the first volume.

From the Tenth Doctor to Captain Jack Harkness, K9, and various editions of Cybermen, you can enjoy plenty of great skins in the game by buying the new DLC via Xbox Live. Check out a few screenshots of them below.
