Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has just appeared on the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, but it's already sparking a huge controversy due to its low quality in terms of visuals and simplified gameplay mechanics, particularly when it comes to the Nemesis system.

Shadow of Mordor launched in early October for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms and impressed a lot of people thanks to its Nemesis mechanic that transformed the whole open world action adventure experience into a much more compelling one.

However, PS3 and Xbox 360 owners were forced to endure a longer period without the title, as it was set to appear this week on the two old consoles.

Now, after gamers have started getting it for those platforms, it seems that the reception isn't that great, as the game apparently makes quite a lot of sacrifices in terms of visuals, framerate, and gameplay.

As you can see in the video below, the game struggles to maintain a stable 30fps framerate, dropping quite frequently below it. What's more, it seems that the title features a lighterweight version of the Nemesis system, effectively losing some of its charm, as opposed to the new versions.

As of yet, developer Monolith and publisher Warner Bros. aren't talking about the situation of the last-gen versions of Shadow of Mordor.
