Microsoft is revealing its financial results for the second quarter of the 2014 fiscal year and the data shows that the Xbox One has managed to ship 3.9 million units to retailers during the three-month period that ended on December 31, 2013.

During the same time, the older Xbox 360 has managed an equally impressive performance by moving no less than 3.5 million devices, says VG247.

The Devices and Consumer Hardware division of Microsoft, which includes the Xbox brand and the games associated with it, has managed to increase its year over year revenue when compared to 2013.

The Xbox One is at the moment offered in 13 core territories and Microsoft has not yet said when gamers in other countries will be able to get access to the device.

The company says that the good financial results are a clear sign that the company is delivering high quality products that users are interested in.
