The Xbox panel is scheduled for July 27, and includes one full hour dedicated to Nightfall

Microsoft announced its plans to officially unveil the upcoming Halo: Nightfall live-action digital series from 343 Industries and prestigious filmmaker Ridley Scott during this year’s edition of the San Diego Comic-Con.

Dveloper 343 Industries’ Kiki Wolfkill (executive producer) and Frank O’Connor (franchise development director), alongside some key members of the feature’s cast and crew, will be present at the Halo: Nightfall First Look panel later this month, ready to discuss various story details and share other production information with the attendees there.

Halo: Nightfall was revealed during Microsoft’s E3 2014 press conference event, and will offer gamers the origin story of Halo 5: Guardians’ new protagonist, Agent Locke. The series will consist of five episodes which will be released on a weekly basis and will be sold together with Halo: The Master Chief Collection, the remastered bundle including Halo 1 through 4, due out this November.

In addition to the world-first look at Halo: Nightfall, Xbox will also show a lot of other stuff at this year’s edition of the SDDC, including Evolve, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2, Fable Legends, Super Dead Rising 3, Spark, and a lot of others.

Furthermore, Major League Gaming will also be hosting some Titanfall, Killer Instinct and Forza Motorsport 5 competitions during the event.
