The home console was quite popular with shoppers in the U.S.
Microsoft has just offered the financial results after its Black Friday 2012 promotions, confirming that over 750,000 consoles have been sold in the U.S. alone, while lots of people showed interest in the Xbox Live online service and got special Gold subscriptions.Black Friday usually means great advantages for the regular customer, as he or she can score many impressive deals, but also lots of profit for the actual retailers and the companies that make popular things.
Microsoft is no exception, as the company has just showcased some of the results it has recorded during the Black Friday period, confirming some massive sales figures for the Xbox 360 and much more.
The company's Xbox community manager, Larry Hryb, showcased some statistics on his blog:
- Xbox 360 sold more than 750,000 consoles in the U.S. alone –exceeding internal forecasts.
- Xbox Live Gold Subscription sales increased more than 50 percent compared to last year’s Black Friday week.
Lots of activity was also recorded on Xbox Live over the Black Friday weekend, with over 14 million people using the online service.
