The development team at Turn 10 working on Forza 5 for the Xbox One says that the simulation of the Mount Panorama, aka Bathurst, circuit is used by drivers to prepare for a real-world event, the 2013 Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000.

The team says that it has used new digital laser scanning and the graphics engine of the Xbox One to make the virtual experience as lifelike as possible.

Mark Skaife, one of the drivers who has tried out Bathurst in Forza 5, states, “the game perfectly captures the breathtaking panoramic view of Skyline, and the adrenaline rush you feel shooting through the Esses and into The Dipper.”

More information on how the track was simulated is offered in an official Xbox news article.

Forza 5 will be one of the launch titles for the Xbox One, offered on November 22 in 13 core territories.
