The new game will expand on the main themes of the franchise

Hideo Kojima, the creator of Solid Snake, says that his team is working on a new social service that will be integration into Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and will introduce new experiences for the fan base.

The developer is quoted by Siliconera as telling Famitsu that, “Metal Gear Solid 5 will indeed be challenging the rest of the world. In order to win this fight, we’ll be needing all of your support. Please look forward to the world of a next-generation social service that will utilize the cloud.”

Kojima is not yet offering any details about how a social network will expand the story of Snake.

The Phantom Pain is one of the game’s that captured the attention of the public art E3 2013 despite the fact that just a trailer was offered.

The new Metal Gear Solid will be out on current gen consoles, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
