Seeing life through Snake's eyes is pretty neat

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes has just got a lot more interesting: a fan created a first-person point of view mod for the acclaimed stealth shooter.

As you can see in the video below, the mod works surprisingly well, in spite of the fact that some actions such as picking up items seem a bit clunky.

The first-person view completely alters the way the game is played, especially by not allowing gamers to see around corners, which means that you have to pay a lot more attention and rely on hearing in order to get cues from enemies.

Anyway, it's a really neat and unique way to experience Big Boss' adventures. The mod was created by -Pao, who warns that there are some known bugs for the time being, such as things vanishing when you go near them or some shoddy pistol animations, which will eventually be fixed further down the road.

If you happen to own the PC edition of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, you can try out the feature for yourself, as the mod is available through Nexus Mods, with installation instructions and everything.

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes was released on Steam on December 18, delivering the short prologue to the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the full-fledged experience that a lot of people have been waiting for for quite a while.
