Konami and Kojima Productions have revealed the official minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC edition of Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes, confirming that fans of the series will have to use some pretty powerful hardware to run the game as intended on the new platform.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes launched this spring for the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms around the world, delivering a prologue experience that sets the stage for the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain title.

Thanks to the popularity of the title and the pleas from PC gamers, publisher Konami and developer Kojima Productions have decided to bring Ground Zeroes onto the PC, where Ground Zeroes is set to debut in December.

After sharing a few details in recent weeks, the two companies have now presented the official system specifications that PC gamers must meet if they want to run the stealth game as intended.

According to the Steam announcement, the minimum specifications include an Intel Core i5 CPU or its AMD equivalent, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 graphics card or its AMD equivalent, as well as 4GB of RAM. The recommended requirements raise the GPU spec to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 760 and the RAM to 8GB. As with most recent titles, a 64-bit operating system is also mandatory, starting with Windows Vista.

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes launches on December 18 for the PC. Until then, check out the specifications below by clicking the Show Requirements button.
