Konami has confirmed that it's just rolled out a brand new patch for the PC edition of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance on the PC in order to fix the glitch that made the game unplayable when it wasn't connected to the Internet.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance finally appeared on the PC platform yesterday, after almost a year since its debut on the PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles.

Unfortunately, as soon as fans started playing the new edition of the game, they found that it wouldn't even start if they weren't connected to the Internet or if they had Steam set in offline mode.

Konami quickly confirmed that it wasn't an intentional always-online DRM system, as a bug with Steam caused the game to behave like that.

Now, one of the video game's developers, Steve Key, confirmed on Twitter that a new patch for the title has appeared on Steam and should fix the big problem.

Those who have already installed the game will see some files rewritten and they'll be able to play offline from now on.
