The multiplayer mode is looking very good

A brand-new gameplay video showcasing the Metal Gear Online multiplayer mode from the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has just been presented by Konami, complete with commentary from one of its developers, who talks about some of the new mechanics in the experience and the Easter Eggs from the actual footage.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain received its official release dates yesterday, as the new title is coming on September 1, for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and on September 15 for PC, via Steam.

Besides the release date and details about the special editions, Konami has also confirmed that Metal Gear Online, the special multiplayer mode in MGS V, goes live at the same dates.

Now, in order to showcase the online experience, a special gameplay video has just been presented for fans all over the world.

The gameplay sequences, available below, also include commentary from one of Konami's developers, who talks about the new and old mechanics present in the multiplayer mode. These include stuffed puppies instead of dirty magazines, but also new weapons and items.

A few Easter Eggs are also discussed, and you can expect to see much more of Metal Gear Online in the following months.
