Rockstar Games, the developer of the upcoming Max Payne 3 third person shooter, has revealed that it currently has no plans of releasing a demo for the new title.

Max Payne 3 is eagerly awaited by lots of shooter fans, both because it continues the story of everybody’s favorite grizzled detective, but also because it aims at taking the series into a new direction.

Until its release in May, lots of people expected to see a demo appear on platforms like the PC, PS3, or Xbox 360.

Sadly, that won’t be the case, as the official Rockstar Twitter account posted a message saying that the studio currently has “no plans” to release a demo version of Max Payne 3.

No other details were given, but it’s pretty clear that fans of the series won’t be able to take the new installment for a trial run before its release.

Max Payne 3 is out on May 15, in North America, and May 18, in the rest of the world for the PS3 and Xbox 360 platforms, while PC gamers get it on May 29/June 1, respectively.
