14 DAY TRIAL // The Mass Effect movie project that’s been caught in pre-production for quite some time has now received a new writer, in the form of Morgan Davis Foehl, who takes over from Mark Protosevich.
The Mass Effect series, made by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts, has delivered some intense experiences over the years. Like with any popular game, a movie project was quickly signed by EA and Legendary Entertainment back in 2007.
Sadly, while the whole idea sounded great, the film has been caught in pre-production limbo for quite some time and now, after writer Mark Protosevich, of Thor and I Am Legend fame, produced a script that’s apparently been rejected, Legendary has confirmed that a new writer has been attached to the project.
According to Variety, the new scribe is Morgan Davis Foehl who, as of yet, hasn’t had any of his scripts produced.
He did, however, work on a variety of movies in different positions and even won an award for the best unproduced script back in 2009.
It seems that Foehl is a fan of the series and definitely likes to add espionage elements to his projects, so it’s going to be interesting to see how the Mass Effect movie might look like under his guidance.
