Casey Hudson, the man in charge of the entire Mass Effect franchise at BioWare, asks players whether they would like the new game in the series to be a prequel or a sequel.

The developer writes on his official Twitter: “Parsing through your thoughts on the next #ME game. Would you be more interested in a game that takes place before the trilogy, or after?”

It’s unlikely that BioWare has not yet made a decision on the matter, but the company needs to keep up communication with the player base in the aftermath of the dispute linked to the ending of Mass Effect 3.

The team has been asking gamers to offer their opinions on the future of the series and previously they revealed that it would run using the new Frostbite engine from DICE and would share some game mechanics with Dragon Age 3: Inquisition.
