Promoted characters retain their powers and have negative skill points

Over the weekend, players of Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode were asked to promote their characters as part of Operation Raptor, but it seems that a new glitch has appeared that keeps the old powers of the characters that were promoted.

In Mass Effect 3’s online mode, once you reach a maximum of level 20 in any of your character classes, you have the option to promote them, which brings their abilities back to level 1 and you then need to build them back up.

A new glitch has appeared this weekend, however, in which players who promote their characters find that their powers are still present, just like they were when the class was at level 20.

What’s more, their skill points are now in the negative zone, as you can see in the image above, via Reddit, and only get closer the zero once you level up.

While this is certainly a glitch, it’s quite great for players, who can take their level 1 characters into tougher matches with Silver or Gold difficulty levels and earn bigger rewards.

Right now, there’s no actual solution to this problem and BioWare has yet to comment on the issue.
