After confirming that it’s running a special Halloween Challenge until Monday, BioWare has now revealed a new weekend event for Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer mode, in the form of Operation Jackhammer, which tasks fans with playing as Vanguard characters.

Mass Effect 3’s multiplayer has experienced a resurrection in terms of popularity after the release of the Retaliation DLC, which added new mechanics, like the Challenge Points one, while paving the way for bigger and faster updates.

Now, after revealing the special Halloween Challenge yesterday, developer BioWare has presented Operation Jackhammer, a new multiplayer event that tasks participants with playing as Vanguard characters.

The goal of the new Operation is to earn 75,000 points by using the biotic charge ability on any map and any difficulty. Like with last weekend’s Operation Valkyrie, the points are cumulative across matches and an extraction on the final wave of a match isn’t required.

The Operation ends on Monday, at 8am PST, and players will automatically receive a Commendation pack for their efforts.
