Gamers will be able to share their creations

Mario Maker initially seemed like a stopgap measure for Nintendo, a small title that was only designed to appeal to fans of the character and the franchise while the developers were working to deliver a new Galaxy or another major spin-off.

But a new video associated with the game shows that it will deliver some very ambitious features and might allow gamers to basically edit all their levels with a complex set of tools as they are also playing them.

This means that content creators will save time and energy by being able to add new obstacles or new platforms just as they encounter the spot in their creation that needs a bit of editing.

Mario Maker will also come complete with a wide library of content and some simple-to-use sharing features.

The game is set to be launched on the Wii U home console from Nintendo in the first half of next year. It might not have the profile of The Legend of Zelda Wii U, but it is the kind of title capable of showing the playful experiences that can be created and shared on the home console.

At the moment, the Nintendo platform is lagging behind in terms of sales when compared to the Xbox One from Microsoft or the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
