Nintendo has made a statement concerning the ever increasing number of Mario games that are being released for its platforms, emphasizing that, seeing as how each title brings new elements, they won't saturate the market or disappoint fans.

Nintendo's 3DS and Wii U platforms have received or will soon get plenty of Mario games, from New Super Mario Bros. 2 or New Super Mario Bros. U, to Super Mario 3D World or Mario Kart 8.

According to Nintendo of America's Senior Director of Corporate Communications, Charlie Scibetta, the company isn't saturating the market.

"We think we're putting out the right number of Mario games based on what fans are asking for, based on what our own developers' creative visions are," Scibetta told Shacknews.

"The key to that is as long as there's innovation is occurring within the gameplay, as long as there's new features, then marrying the characters and the IPs that people love is the right call from our standpoint," he said.

Nintendo will continue to get Mario into as many games as possible, as fans are more than eager to try out experiences with the Italian plumber.
