The talented individuals behind the Man at Arms: Reforged series have decided to give The Legend of Zelda some love, by putting together a masterfully crafted Hylian Shield.

The master forgers already created Link's Master Sword, so now the legendary pair of weapons is complete.

The video starts off showing the team grabbing a sheet of metal and then molding it in the approximate shape of the shield, and then gradually turning it into the iconic Hylian Shield.

Also of note is the fact that the guys used real amber for the decals, in order to give the shield a neat shine.

The video outlines the manufacturing process and showcases the dedication of the craftsmen, casting a sympathetic light on the blacksmith of Hyrule that we usually take for granted during our adventures.

The Man at Arms: Reforged team uses a wide variety of techniques, some very modern, others hailing from medieval times, in order to create the shield. The end result is a glorious-looking piece of armor, and the team even takes it for a spin, testing it against various projectiles.

Link's latest adventure is Hyrule Warriors, an interesting mix of hack-and-slash action similar to the one in the Dynasty Warriors or Samurai Warriors series, and the lore and characters of The Legend of Zelda franchise.

The game was hugely popular, marking a surge of interest in Nintendo's often overlooked Wii U home console.
