Magicka: The Ninth Element Novel, an all-new downloadable content pack for the Magicka game, was just released on Steam.

After enjoying the satirical tone of the action-adventure game, players can now read the book and see the story behind the frantic gameplay.

The Wizards of Midgard channel the power of the Eight Elements and scoff at rumors of a mythical Ninth element that grants its master ultimate power.

When a mysterious Purple Wizard gets close to solving the puzzle of the Ninth Element, with the help of an ancient artifact, The Order of Magick is set on recovering the artifact, just to play it safe.

Naturally, the four most inexperienced wizards are tasked with saving the world, and the book follows their antics as they do so. Or don't. The description isn't very clear. But they probably do.

Magicka: The Ninth Element Novel requires the original Magicka game and is listed on the Steam digital store at a price of $7 / €5.

Upon purchase, the book will be downloaded into the Steam folder in three different formats, epub, mobi and PDF, in order to facilitate its use with ebook reading apps for mobile devices.
