The development team working on Magicka 2 is delivering a new trailer for the upcoming spell-powered adventure, featuring definitely-not-a-vampire Vlad as he talks to a professional about his problems and how much he misses his four wizard friends.

There’s some gameplay footage included, showing some of the most interesting moments that the new game mechanics can deliver.

The team is also promoting a new Imprecise Wizard game on its official website, which allows gamers to earn some special rewards for the PC version of the title, including a new robe to wear, more weapons, and special avatars and icons that can be used on the official forums.

Paradox adds that the new game is “never-before-seen Magicka 2 content not even included in the main game, giving players the chance to experience an exciting side story set in the rich lore of Midgard.”

Magicka 2 aims to expand on the complex concepts of the original and to once again deliver frantic and engaging action for up to four players.

The spell creation system, which allows gamers to customize their attacks using basic elements and often leads to hilarious misfires, is returning and the game will now also be offered on the PlayStation 4.

No launch date for Magicka 2 has been confirmed.
