The team at Paradox Interactive in charge of Magicka 2 is announcing that it is planning to launch the new spell-focused title on May 26 on both the PlayStation 4 from Sony and the PC, where it will be sold for the same price of 14.99 dollars or Euro.
All those interested can also pre-order the title, and if they do so, they will get access to a unique in-game robe, which can be used both in the new game and in Magicka: Wizard Wars.
The company is also offering players a chance to get an exclusive sneak peek at the coming title on May 5 together with three of their friends, which might persuade them to pick up a copy.
In order to celebrate the announcement, Paradox is also delivering a new trailer which is heavily inspired by Game of Thrones but also manages to show off some of the most important elements of the magic-focused experience.
Magicka 2 is designed to keep both the irreverent tone of the first title and the unique mechanics that allow players to create complex spells using a range of basic elements.
There will be no cross-play between the PS4 and the PC versions of the title.
