Video game developer EA Sports has just announced that Odell Backham Jr. will be the cover athlete for Madden NFL 16, and the company is also ready to reveal that its upcoming American football sim will have a special Deluxe Edition, for the most dedicated fans of the series.

On Tuesday, August 25, gamers on both the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One will be able to pick up a version of the title that's designed to emphasize the Ultimate Team mode with extra content, as long as they place a pre-order before that date.

Gamers will need to pay 10 dollars or Euro more but will get the equivalent of an extra 50 dollars or Euro in new content, in the form of players and items.

The Deluxe Edition for Madden NFL 16 offers gamers access to 36 Ultimate Team packs that include superstars from the past and the present of the real world National Football League.

They will be delivered at a rate of 3 per week for a period of 12 weeks, starting on September 1.

A Playmaker pack is also included, with a limited time version of the playmaker from Madden NFL 16.

So far, the only glimpse of gameplay from the football sim was offered via a short video, but more details are coming at E3 2015.
