14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at EA Sports announces that, as the real world National Football League season is moving to the playoff phase, it is also looking to introduce a range of new content for the Ultimate Team mode that’s part of Madden NFL 15.
The official announcement explains that in the Team of the Week the major tweak is that “For the playoffs, there will be only five new player Items found in Packs. Instead of an offensive and defensive Set, one TOTW Hero set is provided. One Solo Challenge against the top performers from last weekend’s playoff games provides a Collectible for this Set.”
EA Sports is also planning to introduce a Rising Star system which will highlight those players who perform well during the playoffs.
For Coin Up, the studio is also changing the concept and introducing two challenges, one for the AFC and one for the NFC, with the player asked to select the team that will advance the most in order to get more value from quick sales.
The Legends side of the Ultimate Team mode will be adding some of the best players in the post-season from the past of the NFL.
Finally, Madden NFL 15 is adding more statistical data for performances achieved during playoffs using Football Outsiders.
