The Major League Championship will launch its series of 2013 events today with the Winter Championship event (which somewhat confusingly takes place during March), which will include close to 1,000 pro players competing in games that include Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, League of Legends and Starcraft 2.

The entire three day event can be streamed online for free by all those interested in competitive gaming and a full schedule for all the competitions can be found on the official website.

The prize pool includes more than 170,000 dollars (105,000 Euros) and the star of the show is clearly the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 tournament that will be linked to the Xbox 360.

The event takes place in Dallas and those who cannot be physically near to the players can also pick up a VIP online pass which increases the quality of the streaming to 1080p.
