Paul Meegan, the president of LucasArts, announced that he is leaving the company after a period of two years in charge.

Paul Meegan told Games Industry that, “LucasArts has come a long way and I’m extremely proud of what the teams have accomplished.”

The former president added, “We had a great E3 with Star Wars 1313, and have other exciting projects in the works. It’s been a privilege to be a part of Lucasfilm. I wish the company all the best.”

Mich Chau, who is the chief operations officer at Lucasfilm, says that the company will re-evaluate the leadership requirements of LucasArts and will continue working on the projects it is already committed to, including Star Wars 1313.

The gritty re-imagining of the lightsaber and Jedi-powered universe is the only high-profile title in the works at LucasArts at the moment and it is set to use an action adventure template that will skew close to the mechanics of the Uncharted series.
