This weekend's CD-Action EXPO in Poland saw some new footage from the upcoming action role-playing game Lords of the Fallen make its way to the Internet.

The two videos were filmed by audience members, recording the Lords of the Fallen gameplay session featuring during the convention, with commentary from Tomasz Gop, the game's lead.

The gameplay footage was shown behind closed doors, but apparently years and years of going through stealth sections paid off, since some gamers were able to record some very low-quality videos.

While they're pretty grainy, they show enough in order to get a feel for what the game looks like, as well as revealing some of the strategy behind the upcoming role-playing game's encounters.

The game was compared to Japanese video game developer From Software's Dark Souls, based on the gameplay morsels revealed so far, and Tomasz Gop stated that the comparison led to a "tough start" for the project.

Although the Souls games were definitely a source of inspiration for the former Witcher 2 senior producer, he pointed out that Lords of the Fallen was different from the Japanese games, mainly in its artistic direction and its storyline.

Lords of the Fallen is currently in development, being worked on by Polish studio CI Games in collaboration with German studio Deck 13.
