14 DAY TRIAL // Dave Cox, the leading producer working on the Castlevania franchise, says that the first Lords of Shadow video game was the most successful in terms of sales in the history of the series.
Speaking to Destructoid, the developer says that Konami would not allow him to offer actual sales numbers for the game.
He also says that he would be overjoyed if Lords of Shadow 2 hit overall sales of 3.5 million units, especially given the fact that competitors like God of War: Ascension have failed to impress at retail.
Konami reveals that Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will not feature any sort of magic, with all the supernatural powers linked to blood.
The game will also introduce a number of new weapons, including a Blood Whip.
Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is expected to launch on home consoles later this year.
