Video game developer Turbine announces that the long awaited Helm’s Deep expansion pack for The Lord of the Rings Online will be launched on November 18, allowing players to actually take part in the legendary battle created by J.R.R. Tolkien.

The level cap for the title is now set at 95, and players will be able to explore a big chunk of terrain in Western Rohan before joining the big siege.

Helm’s Deep will offer a new set of rewards for gamers regardless of the final fate of the conflict, and all those who are at least level 10 can join in.

Kate Paiz, executive producer of the MMO, states, “We can’t wait to show players how the game will bring this classic clash to life. This technical and gameplay innovation brings massive conflicts to life like never before and is another huge leap forward for MMO players in Middle-earth.”

The official website of The Lord of the Rings Online also has a number of promotional packages for the Helm’s Deep expansion.
