Riot Games has just posted a fresh video showing gameplay and footage from the overhauled Summoner's Rift map that will soon be added to the game, replacing the older version of the most popular map in the online experience.

League of Legends is a true global phenomenon and, as you can imagine, when Riot Games attempts to change the most iconic map in the game, it needs to tread lightly in order to avoid upsetting fans.

After detailing some of the general changes aimed for with the overhaul of Summoner's Rift, Riot Games has now posted a special video showing footage with the new map, as well as a few comparisons with the older version of the level.

The studio emphasizes that it wants to make the map clearer and easier to read, especially when players are engaged in bigger brawls.

What's more, some of the more iconic neutral monsters in the level are getting an overhaul so that they look more menacing and new players can tell that they shouldn't mess with them, at least not at first.

The new Summoner's Rift map will be made available in the Public Beta Environment in the near future, ahead of its official release.
