The League of Legends Championship Series Season 4 has officially kicked off, with Riot Games continuing their efforts for global domination of the MOBA scene.

The League of Legends Championship Series matches are streamed live onLoLeSports.com, and tickets for live attendance of the events have also been put on sale for both North American events, taking place in Manhattan Beach, California, USA, as well as European ones, taking place at the studio in Cologne, Germany.

Riot pushes its multiplayer online battle arena game into the eSports spotlight once again, as while the competition is fierce, so are the rewards. The company revealed that last year’s LCS season attracted more than 32 million unique viewers, with the Championships totaling a number of 8 million concurrent viewers.

The popularity of eSports and video game-related streaming has grown exponentially over the last couple of years, and all parties involved are looking forward to capitalizing on the spur of rising eSports coverage and appeal.
