Riot Games has just released a nice comic focusing on the latest addition to their MOBA game League of Legends, Ekko.

The short but moving comic story, titled Chronobreak, delves into the backstory of the time-altering young boy, showing him struggle against the odds to fix all of the broken things in the world, while at the same time trying to come to terms with the fact that some of them simply cannot be repaired and have to come to pass.

Ekko himself is a pretty interesting hero, especially since Riot has not pushed him into a definitive role yet, letting the player base explore his abilities and find a place for him more organically.

The comic is simple and masterfully done, and does a pretty good job of making me want to find out more about Ekko, so well done there, Riot. You can read it on the League of Legends website.

It also has a certain vibe that makes me think about what someone's Uncle Ben once said, "with great power comes great responsibility." It also makes me think about Transistor.

In order to make up for the somber tone of the comic, I'm just going to leave this here:
