The latest Grand Theft Auto 5 The Last Team Standing Update 1.17 for the open world game has apparently added a set of achievements for the long-awaited online heists missions that are set to appear for the GTA 5 multiplayer mode soon enough, according to datamined files.

GTA 5 has been around for over a year, and ever since the GTA Online multiplayer mode was rolled out, developer Rockstar has promised that heists will be available as free DLC. Since then, GTA 5 has received a huge amount of updates and the heists were nowhere to be found, except for trace references uncovered by clever fans.

The latest update, the Last Team Standing patch that appeared last week, also has references to the long-awaited heists, this time in the form of achievements, according to datamined files that appeared on GTAforums.

The achievements reward the completion of heists both as a regular participant and as a heist leader, as well as completing them without taking any damage or by earning gold medals.

The achievements are pretty numerous and it's possible that the actual heists will go live sooner rather than later, possible in November, to coincide with the release of Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
