The development team at Naughty Dog has confirmed the existence of a Season Pass for its upcoming The Last of Us, which will include three full packs of downloadable content to be delivered in the months after launch.

One of the DLC deliveries will be a new single-player, story-based sequence that the team has not offered details on.

The other two will focus on multiplayer and will include new maps for players to explore and other content, which probably means weapons and characters, according to the official Sony blog.

Those who pre-order the Season Pass will also get access to: better crafting speed, faster healing, the 9mm reload speed upgrade, a capacity upgrade for the rifle.

They can also watch an exclusive Making of the Last of Us documentary.

The Last of Us will be offered on the PlayStation 3 from Sony on June 14.
