Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the most recent title in the long-running franchise, and the team in charge of it at Square Enix is delivering a launch trailer for the title that’s designed to show the way its mechanics will emphasize cooperative action and to introduce gamers to a range of very cool enemies that need to be defeated.

The video game is not part of the classic narrative of the series and instead offers a top down experience which emphasizes solid reflexes and good knowledge of the levels.

Gamers will travel back to Egypt and they can join three other friends either online or locally in order to try and take down the evil deity Seth, who has plans to conquer the world.

She will be joined by a treasure hunter named Carter Bell and by two other gods, Isis and Horus, each with its own set of moves and abilities.

The world of Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is designed to reflect the core elements of the franchise and the main character will have to make good use of her exploration and combat skills to progress.

A full-on sequel for the franchise, called Rise of the Tomb Raider, is also in development at the moment and will be launched only on the Xbox One and the 360 in the fall of next year.
