Video game publisher Square Enix has released a new video for their Japanese role-playing game Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance, offering fans of the series 10 minutes of footage which can shape their understanding of the title.

The two playable characters of Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance are Sora and Rikku and players will be able to explore locations taken from series like Final Fantasy, Three Musketeers, Tron, Pinocchio, Winnie the Pooh and other intellectual properties created by Disney and Square Enix.

The game will use familiar JRPG mechanics and the developers are promising a number of surprises for fans of the series.

Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance will be launched on the Nintendo 3DS handheld and will use the three-dimensional capabilities of the device.

The Japanese launch date is currently set for March 29, and Square Enix has said that it has plans to also deliver it on the North American and the European markets later during 2012.
