Killzone Mercenary was one of the most important PlayStation Vita titles of the year. Now its creator, Guerrilla Cambridge, is looking for new talent for an upcoming production.

Although most people could have wagered that the developer's next title might also be a PlayStation Vita game, some recently surfaced information shows that it may not be the case.

Several job listings suggest that Guerrilla Cambridge's next title will find a home on a Sony console, most probably the PlayStation 4.

A listing for a Senior Environment Artist mentions the requirement of recent AAA console games development experience, with the same prerequisite being found in another Environmental Artist listing.

A senior Graphics Programmer listing describes the undertaking as “a major future project,” further adding to the scales.

Killzone developer Guerrilla Games admitted to starting work on a new IP altogether, which may have led the smaller Cambridge studio to take over the franchise for the future.

Additionally, Sony closed down its Liverpool studio, which was rumored to be well into the development of two PlayStation 4 titles. That could also mean that one of them might have been assigned to Guerrilla Games to finish.

An official announcement detailing the specifics of their next project is yet to be made.
