Dutch developer Guerrilla Games, the studio behind the very popular Killzone franchise, is already hard at work on the fourth installment of the shooter series, after this year's Killzone 3, as well as on a brand new IP.

Killzone 2 and 3 impressed lots of shooter fans on the PlayStation 3 in recent years with great visuals and very sharp mechanics, so Guerrilla's Adrian Smith, the studio's recruiter, said to Edge magazine that the team has "got to continue the Killzone franchise."

The studio based in Amsterdam also revealed, through Mathijs de Jonge, that a new IP is in development so it's already looking to enlarge their team, from the current 160 staff to around 190 or 200 in the next year or so.

It's unclear, however, if the next Killzone game will appear for the PlayStation 3, like most recent titles, or for the often rumored PlayStation 4, the next Sony home console.
