Tim Schafer, the leader of developer Double Fine, says that the Kickstarter funding process for his upcoming classic adventure game has made him more open when talking about future plans with the fans.

The game maker states, “The Kickstarter thing and the documentary that we’re doing with the Kickstarter has just taught me that there’s nothing to be afraid of. You release your stuff out. You show a piece of concept art that may or may not be in the game.”

Schafer comes from a background that includes LucasArts, a company notorious for its culture of secrecy, which the developer himself has described as Wiliy Wonka-like.

At the moment, Double Fine is getting ready to launch The Cave and the big Kickstarter-funded adventure game should arrive in 2013 on the PC.
