The launch of Mario & Luigi: Dream Team in Japan has boosted the sales of the Nintendo 3DS handheld, which is once again the leading hardware device for the week ending on July 21, with sales of 57.025 units, up from 43.435 during the previous tracked period.

The data from Media Create quoted by NeoGAF shows that the PlayStation Vita from Sony continues to stand in second place overall, despite seeing a drop from 15.662 to 14.392.

The Wii U has seen a big decline, from 22.199 to 11.413, but stays ahead of the PlayStation 3.

Youkai Watch, another 3DS game, is in second place in the software chart, with sales of 82.756, while the last place on the podium belongs to Pikmin 3, which was last week’s leader.

The rest of the top ten includes: Little Battlers eXperience W: Ultra Custom, Friend Collection: New Life, Earth Defense Force 2025, Toukiden on the PSV, New Super Luigi U, Toukiden on the PSP and Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.
