The Japanese gaming market has finished the first month of 2015 with a new video game at the top of the software chart, as Devil Survivor 2: Break Record from Atlus has managed to take the first position in its first week, with 53,264 copies moved to players.

The new number one has not prompted any solid increase for the 3DS handheld, which has delivered 36,408 devices to its own fans for the week that ended on February 1, a little more than during the previous tracked period but less than during the same week of last year.

The PlayStation 4 home console from Sony is in second place and has increased its own sales from 13,793 to 17,392.

The Vita is in third place, with declining sales, according to Media Create data posted on NeoGAF, and the PlayStation 3 is yet again selling better than the Wii U from Nintendo, which stands at 6,807 units sold, and the Xbox One, down to 222.

Returning to the software chart, second place belongs to Far Cry 4 from Ubisoft, which has delivered 36,239 copies to its own fans in Japan, and third is occupied by Tales of Zestiria from Bandai Namco Games.

The rest of the top ten includes: Yo-kai Watch 2: Shin Uchi, Yowamushi Pedal: Ashita e no High Cadence, Far Cry 4 for the PS3, Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Kirby and the Rainbow Curse, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, and Bladestorm: Nightmare.
