The Nintendo 3DS handheld has seen a decline in its Japanese sales for the week that ended on June 2, going from 54,710 units during the previous week to 42,864.

Second place in the hardware chart, according to Media Create figures cited by NeoGAF, has been occupied by the PlayStation 3 from Sony, which is also selling less units than in the same period last year.

The Wii U has seen an increase of 1,000 units in its overall sales, but is still below Nintendo’s expectations.

Friends Collection: New Life is the best-selling video game in Japan, with sales of a little over 59,000, followed by Resident Evil: Revelations on the PS3.

The final position on the podium belongs to Shin Megami tensei IV.

The rest of the top ten includes: Kamen Rider: Battride War, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Norn9: Norn + Nonette, Valhalla Knights 3, DoDonPachi Saidaioujou and Terraria.
