The solid run that the PlayStation 4 enjoyed at the top of the Japanese hardware chart seems to be over, as the Nintendo-made 3DS has once again regained the position during the week that ended on April 12.

The handheld has moved 26,841 units to gamers, according to data from Media Create quoted by NeoGAF, and in second place, the Vita has managed a little over 18,000.

The PlayStation 4 home console is in third, seeing a drop in its own numbers from 26,738 to 17,885.

The Wii U is also in decline, delivering 6,654 units to the public in seven days, while the Xbox One has only managed 238.

The Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin content release has managed to become the best-selling title of the week with 20,494 copies moved to gamers during its debut period.

3rd Super Robot Wars Z: Tengoku-Hen is in second with 15,394, and the last position on the podium is taken by the PS3 version of the same game.

The rest of the top ten is made up of Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3. Bloodborne, Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Mario Party 10, Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, and Ansatsu Kyoushitsu: Korosensei Daihouimou!!.
