The 3DS handheld might no longer be a chart topper in the West, but it continues to lead hardware sales on the Japanese market, as the number of units delivered to gamers has jumped up to 58,745 for the week that ended on February 15.

The Nintendo device is performing better than during the previous tracked period and the same moment last year, based on Media Create figures quoted by NeoGAF, and that's because of the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D.

The PlayStation 4 not only continues to stay in second place but has managed to reach 21,381 units moved to fans in a week, and the last place on the podium belongs to the Vita handheld, which has seen a small boost but is in a long-term decline.

The Wii U has sold just over 7,000 units, more than the PS3 and the 191 managed by the Xbox One.

When it comes to software, Samurai Warriors 4-II, with sales of 44,574 copies, is another new entry and takes second place in the video game chart, followed by Nanatsu no Taizai: The Seven Deadly Sins - Unjust Sin.

The rest of the top ten includes: Yo-kai Watch 2: Shin Uchi, Samurai Warriors 4-II for Vita, Samurai Warriors 4-II for PS4, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire, Dragon Ball: Xenoverse, and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
