The 3DS is at the moment once again at the top of the Japanese hardware charts for the week that ended on March 8, with overall sales reaching 33,950, which is a slight decline when compared to the previously tracked period.

The PlayStation 4 continues to perform well and has moved 33,753 units to its own fans, a decline over the previous week, but still enough to make it a contender for the top spot.

The Vita might not be very popular worldwide, but it is still a force in Japan, according to Media Create data quoted by NeoGAF, and has managed to sell more than the PS3, which in turn is a more popular device than the Wii U from Nintendo.

The video game sales chart is dominated again by Dragon Quest Heroes for the PS3 from Square Enix, which has managed to add 67,514 to its total, while second place is taken over by Etrian Mystery Dungeon for the 3DS.

The rest of the top ten includes: Dragon Quest Heroes for the PS4, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, New Prince of Tennis: Go to the Top, God Eater 2: Rage Burst, Evolve, Yo-kai Watch 2: Shin Uchi, LEGO City Undercover: The Chase Begins and Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire.
