Satoru Iwata, the president of Nintendo of Japan, believes that as soon as gamers get to see the features of the newly launched Nintendo Network, they will be interested in using it, despite the difficulties the company had in demoing the service.

In a letter addressed to IGN, the executive says, “It is challenging to communicate attractions which are hard to understand unless you actually touch and experience them yourself. This is especially so with Wii U because it has unprecedented entertainment potential.”

According to Iwata, the features of the Nintendo Network are very different from what Sony and Microsoft are offering with the PSN and Xbox Live.

The Wii U creator wants to make sure that players get the same social-driven experience whether they are in the same room or playing over a network connection.
