Injustice: Gods Among Us just got its first television spot, and the teams at developer NetherRealms and publisher Warner Bros. are using Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes, two popular culture heroes known for their love of comic books and superheroes, to promote the title.

The clip is fairly fun, using the rivalry between two good friends to show off how the new fighting game can settle disputes.

Injustice: Gods Among Us will be available on the PlayStation 3 from Sony, the Xbox 360 from Microsoft and the newer Wii U from Nintendo on April 16 in North America, and three days later in Europe.

The game includes a wide range of heroes and villains and will rely on the environment and complex move sets to keep players interested in the long term.
